Brad announces Mipik (beta)

mipiklogo.gifI am sure that I have bored almost all that I have seen in the last few months with my incessant talk about my new side project. However, I think the day has come to stop talking and start making some money (from the ads, not from you).

What I have put together is a web site (www.mipik.com) for hosting sports survivor pools (If you don’t know what that is, go to the site and you can help me understand if the site describes it well enough for you). On the site, you can setup your own pools and invite friends, or have a totally public pool (without the blue dye). Pools right now can only be based on World Cup 2006 or NFL 2006. However, I am in the process of loading every major league for most sports around the globe.

To kick the whole thing off, I have setup a pool for our class for World Cup 2006. IT IS PURELY FOR FUN! To join, just go to the site, create an account and follow the process (let me know if it is confusing). If you would like (and I certainly would like you to), you can setup your own pool and invite some friends. The pool I setup for the class is called “BCEMBA 06 World Cup” and the Secret Code to join is [Editor's note: email Brad for the password].

Hope to see you all in the list of players. And please remember, you could find a bug or two. Just let me know when it happens.

Thanks,
Brad
